Exclamation Charleston and more

In the aftermath of the tragedy in Charleston and all the other tragedies we hear blame and shame answers on all sides. It is President Obamaís fault one says, itís Hollywood glamorizing gun violence another declares, it is the fault of that very preacher because as a legislator he did not vote for concealed carry in church settings, it is the militaryís fault, the schoolís etc. and o so many etc. The truth is the answer is much easier and much harder than all that. Something has to change drastically. No we donít need to get the politicians saved as nice as that might be, we donít need to reform Hollywood, or straighten out the military, or the schools, and if we did that wouldnít fix it all. What we need to do, must do, can do, and must do if we want things to change for the better is simple. We must look at our own life especially those of us who are people of faith. Be open to see what is less than Godís best in ourselves, pray, seek God, turn away from that that is not His best, and believe God to change us, our country, and our world. Most of us know God said ďIf my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land in 2 chronicles 7:17. We know it and now we need to do it. Not just one time, consistently, and God will keep His word and heal our land. But if we go on saying Iím not so bad and besides it can never happen here sadly enough it can and will.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. Matthew 25:40 & 45

Question

Are you repenting and praying, changing any ways that do not please God and expecting Him to heal your land?

Why or why not?
