Default What do you remember

Seems like every time you turn ion the TV it is all about Sept 11 0 years ago Do you have thoughts or memories you'd like to share? I was asleep and Kim called saying Wake up its Armageddon.

That night at prayer meeting everyone poured out their hearts and rededicated themselves to God.

The streets were lined with people holding flags. Almost the whole Hispanic population of a nearby city flooded the military recruitment offices wanting to fight for America. Meanwhile their mamas and little children were flooding the police and fire stations with home baked treats, traditional foods and all the American foods they knew to make. Those people Black, Anglo, Hispanic stood shoulder to shoulder on the streets day and night night and day waving flags, crying and praying. And now....?

Where are our hearts today? What will it take to get us beyond memories and emotion that builds and goes and into lasting reaching out to God?

Strypey was working for a fast food restaurant. I wasn't born yet but I heard her tell someone else.

She was at work and a customer came in and said that they had heard about the planes hitting the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center over their car radio. The Manager and Strypey went to the back of the store where there was a television and turned it on. What they saw was the Pentagon on fire.

Strypey went back to the front counter and told the customer that it was not the World Trade Center, but the Pentagon. Then the manager hollered from the back.. "It's both".

Sandy was still in Elementary School that was less than half mile from a major Army base.(Fort Gilliem) and Strypey was called at work by the school to come get Sandy because the School was closing.

That day was really surreal. The castle is only seven or so miles from Hartsfield and there were no planes. none.
