What turns you off when someone shares Christ or tries to get you to see scripture the way they do?

The only real turnoff I have experienced along those lines is when people, politically speaking, insist that I need to surrender my rights as a free person and subject myself to a left-wing government philosophy in order to be in line with the teachings of the Bible.
I cannot understand this for the life of me, especially when we look across the ocean and see fascists murdering their own people. I am truly puzzled by this one ![]() |

I don't believe anyone tried to share Christ with me, however I really dislike the for lack of a better term the "Joel Olsteen" way. What I mean by that is the down playing of sin to the point where it only a mistake or not God's best.
The only thing I feel comfortable about sharing on how people use scripture is when people take verses out of context and use them anyway they want for example Rev 3:20 is not about Jesus timidity knocking at the door begging to come in.

I think what bothers me is when people use bullying tactics, and/or try to do the work of the Holy Spirit in convicting people of sin.
